Alloy 280 Muntz Metal Sheet and Plate is a copper-zinc alloy containing approximately 60% copper and 40% zinc. This composition provides increased strength and hardness compared to higher-copper brasses while maintaining good hot-working characteristics. Supplied in flat sheet and plate form, it offers uniform thickness for structural fabrication and precision cutting. Thinner gauges are typically used for formed components, while thicker plate is selected for structural and marine-duty applications.
